Time to Relax and do some practising in Devon

Time To Relax by Little Thoughts

Last night I was messing around playing along to some of my favourite tunes and starting building ideas for recording this weekend. I ended up playing for 3 hours into the late night!

Ive been practicing my high notes.. being able to smoothly run up into the Altisimo register with finesse and keeping tone and energy.

Candy Dulfer is one of my great inspirations for her control and her ability to make each note sound so special and full, I was playing along to her last night, Look at her video 🙂

Having a great time Saxing it up in London!

Last night One Roots played the Magic Garden Pub and totally vibed the place! One Roots are loving London! and London is loving them!

I also guested on sax with the reggae dub Djs at about 1am! ★ One Roots + Brigadier JC + Frankie Dread at the Magic Garden ★ This was a night of true passion for Reggae, and Dub, with a mixed crowd from all walks of life coming together peacefully 🙂 With special guest Faada Ras from The Majestic 🙂  The Majestic Web Page

One Roots Gigs are going really well!!

One Roots Played the Bedroom Bar in Shoreditch, London. Playing an hour set we started out with Inka one of our E.P tracks, it felt as if everyone was adjusting to the fact there was a live band as we were the only live band of the night- and i think we were also adjusting to being the performers (sometimes its a shock to the system getting up there and making such LOUD noise!), by the end of the song everyone had loosened up and the crowd came forward towards the stage. Before we knew it everyone skanking and the crowd was head banging to the dub rock breaks! We played a total of 10 tracks finishing with our most Ska track ‘What have we done’ , this always finalises the set with a bang and leaves the crowd wanting more. We did not have time for an encore but reminded the crowd they can see us in 2 weeks at The Magic Garden Pub, Battersea .

One Roots are confirmed for Small World Festival! in Kent. This is a really nice small festival which hosts some of the best musicians in the country, from jazz, gypsy, swing, psychedelic rock, reggae and loads more. They are also a stage which travels to larger well known festivals such as Secret Garden Party , Glastonbury and so on.

There are many exciting things in the pipeline for One Roots, so keep and eye and out and we shall keep you posted!

One Roots Reggae Band :)

I joined One Roots in September 2012 and have been performing with them in Brighton and London, We have supported Mungos hi-fi Djs and Solo Banton Mc at the Magic Garden Pub, Battersea, London.

This month we performed at one of Brightons biggest venues Concorde 2 – Supporting Zion Train, Prince Fatty and Unity HI-FI 🙂 the gig was a massive success here is a video from the night:

We have recently recorded and printed our first E.P with Prince Fatty himself at Ironworks studios in Brighton, here is one of the tracks, I feature on sax in the Intro Keep On Waiting – One Roots – ‘Feel Alright E.P’
